The Irish Wheelchair Association is a national organisation dedicated to the achievement of full social, economic and educational inclusion and integration of people with physical disabilities as equal, independent and participative members of their communities and society.
The Assisted Living Service enables individuals with a physical or sensory disability to have the support of a personal assistant. These services are provided in individuals homes and communities, facilitating access to education, community participation and an improved quality of life
Age Group 5 – 65 years of age
Eligibility Criteria Physical and or sensory disability, ABI
Referrals Usually referred by Physical and Sensory Disability Nurse but self-referrals also received.
