The FRC programme is Irelands largest family support programme delivering universal services to families in disadvantaged areas across the country based on a lifecycle approach. The aim of the programme is to combat disadvantage and improve the functioning of the family unit. Each works autonomously - working inclusively with individuals, families, communities and statutory and non-statutory agencies. The role of the Family Resource Centre is to provide a wide range of community supports and programmes in response to the unique needs of their catchment area. This may include education, training, group work, provision of support and information. There are five FRC's in Wexford.
Target Age Groups The centre works with individuals and families offering a range of family supports encompassing the full life-cycle. The FRC supports the Childcare Services and Day centre for older members of the community.
