Wexford Parents Hub Programmes

Rainbows is a service for children and young people experiencing loss following bereavement and parental separation.  The Rainbows service is an inclusive service, supporting children and young people experiencing grief and loss resulting from bereavement/parental separation/parental relationship breakdown /divorce.  Attending the programme provides children with an opportunity to meet with other children of a similar age and loss experience.

Rainbows is a 9 week group programme and is suitable for children from 7years onwards.

TLC Kidz is a group programme for children and mothers recovering from domestic abuse. The programme aims to help children heal from the impact of domestic abuse, and to help mothers in understanding their child’s experiences in order to support their recovery.

Throughout the programme the wellbeing of children and mothers is promoted by validating their experiences, safety planning, social support, teaching appropriate expression of difficult emotions and improving communication between children and mothers

Course Duration: 12 Weeks

This 90 minute seminar is suitable for all parents of children up to 12years.

The seminar focuses on supporting the health and wellbeing of children while offering simple, practical strategies that have been proven to work, helping parents raise happy, confident children.

Triple P lifestyle seminars can help parents to:
• encourage positive behaviour
• manage difficult behaviours
• become confident as a parent
• be realistic about your parenting
• take care of yourself
• encourage a healthy home environment

Parents will learn how to use positive parenting to encourage children to learn the skills and competencies they need to develop healthy lifestyle habits and promote their child's health, development and well being.
