Wexford has the fifth highest Traveller population in Ireland. There are two Traveller Community Health Programmes in the county. Both programs are managed by Wexford Local Development Company (WLD) and funded by the HSE and WLD. The project in North Wexford works with individuals and families in Ferns, Bunclody, Enniscorthy and Gorey.

The HSE National Counselling Service is a professional, confidential counselling and psychotherapy service available free of charge in all regions of the HSE. The client group are adults who have experienced trauma and abuse in childhood with priority given to adult survivors of institutional abuse in Ireland.

This service provides hearing assessment following screening at local clinics and school screening and hearing aid and amplification management for long term hearing loss in all children (and adults but only those with medical cards also).

A client-centred support service for those who have been affected by domestic, sexual or gender based violence including women, men, young people and all persons of different sexual or gender identities.  Located in Wexford, Gorey, Enniscorthy and New Ross.

Eligibility Criteria Child must have an intellectual disability and/or Autism.

Camphill Duffcarrig was the first Camphill Community founded in the ROI in 1972. It is a community for adults with special needs ranging from 21 years+. The community operates a biodynamic farm and garden and runs workshops for weaving, pottery, laundry and food processing.

CWCW is a voluntary body providing services to children and adults with an intellectual disability and their families in County Wexford. Services provided include Disability Support Service, Early Childhood Care and Education and Training and Employment.

Target Age Group 2 years 10 months – 6 years; 18-24 years; families.

The Roma Equality Project is funded by the Department of Justice and Equality and its aim is to work with the Roma community in co. Wexford in the areas of employment and education and training that leads to paid employment.  This project is also working with Roma in Co. Carlow in addressing wider needs.
